X Point Halle | Program & Tickets 2025/2026

The X Point Halle in Passau is a versatile event location for concerts, comedy, sports shows, markets, and trade fairs. It is located in the Messepark Kohlbruck, a spacious event area with very good transport connections, near the A3 and the federal roads of Passau. The hall offers up to 1,200 standing places or about 800 seating places, has its own catering area, and allows the rental of professional stage, lighting, and sound technology. Thanks to the parking garage, bus stop, and barrier-free access, getting there is comfortable – whether for day visitors, tours, or regional formats. Many dates are listed on established ticket and event portals; the city of Passau consolidates information about the Messepark, where the X Point Halle is located. Throughout the year, the spectrum ranges from design and lifestyle markets to tattoo and lifestyle events to wrestling, cabaret, and pop concerts. Thus, the hall becomes a destination for locals and visitors alike for live experiences that combine short distances with a practical, clearly structured infrastructure.

Event Program and Highlights 2025/2026

The search queries around “program” and specific shows show what the audience and organizers appreciate about the X Point Halle: varied live dates ranging from crowd pullers to niche formats. A fixed part of the annual calendar are creative markets; the art & design market regularly uses the hall as a space for fashion, jewelry, photography, graphics, ceramics, as well as product and furniture design, with food trucks for culinary delights and an uncomplicated day ticket. Another focus is on lifestyle and tattoo events: The Tattoo Convention Passau took place on January 25-26, 2025, in the X Point Halle – a weekend where tattoo artists from various regions come together and visitors can discover trends. Dynamic live action brings the Erding Wrestling Show (EWS) to the hall: On July 12, 2025, the EWS visited Passau as part of its tour anniversary, with tag team titles and a regional fan base. The proximity to the A3 and the large exhibition area in front of the hall also make outdoor formats attractive: On June 28, 2025, the INNRUN was announced as an obstacle race with start/finish at the exhibition area in front of the X Point Halle; for the event day, the Messe street in the area of the location was closed, while the local public transport operated as scheduled. Tour productions from music and comedy also use the location: The Austrian artist RIAN brought his live show to the X Point Halle on December 2, 2025 (doors open at 6:00 PM, start at 7:00 PM), while the Bavarian comedian Harry G initially scheduled his program “HoamStories” in Passau for November 13, 2025 – the date was postponed to February 3, 2026. In addition, themed trade fairs take place in the hall, such as the “Women’s Fair Lifestyle & Business” (October 25, 2025). This mix illustrates that the X Point Halle is flexible enough to meet the needs of very different organizers – from the merchant and design market with day ticket to family-friendly shows to evening tour productions with professional ticketing infrastructure. For visitors, this means: Those who are spontaneously on the go often find weekend formats with uncomplicated entry and culinary offerings here; those who come specifically for a tour benefit from the clear route guidance in the Messepark and the parking and public transport options at the hall.

For planning future visits, it is worth taking a look at the event portals and the pages of the respective tours. In tour productions and comedy programs, postponements or additional dates are often communicated; thus, the Passau date of Harry G remained present, although it was postponed from November 13, 2025, to February 3, 2026. Music acts like RIAN also use the X Point Halle as a stop within larger tour plans – the times (entry, start) and price ranges are determined by the respective provider. Markets like the art & design market often work with day tickets (cash recommended), and wrestling shows like the EWS offer tickets online (e.g., Eventim) or at the box office. The range shows: Those looking for “program X Point Halle” will be rewarded with real live experiences – whether interested in handmade design products, wanting to discover new music, wanting to be entertained by cabaret/comedy, or wanting to experience the atmosphere in the hall during wrestling.

Tickets and Booking: How to Get Tickets

Since the X Point Halle is used by numerous external organizers, there is no central, permanent house ticket system. Instead, tickets are usually offered through the respective tour, festival, or trade fair organizers as well as large ticket portals. Examples: For EWS Wrestling on July 12, 2025, tickets were available online (e.g., Eventim) and at the box office. The art & design market relies on the uncomplicated day ticket with cash payment; children up to and including 13 years are free there – a specific note that the entrance area does not always have a card reader, making cash useful. Music acts like RIAN (December 2, 2025, start at 7:00 PM) or comedy dates like Harry G – HoamStories (postponed to February 3, 2026) appear in regional calendars and ticket widgets; there, in addition to date and time, price ranges and hall information are maintained. Because multiple partners are often involved (tour organizers, local partners, location), it is advisable to use the most recently updated entry – for example, the artist or tour page and additionally a ticket portal that visibly displays the “event status” line (available, postponed, sold out).

Those planning last minute will find many dates in regional overviews. Event calendars list the X Point Halle as a venue and provide upcoming dates – such as the RIAN show in December 2025 and the Harry G date in February 2026. Pre-sale points in the region are occasionally mentioned for comedy and concert dates. Important: Payment methods vary depending on the event (cash at markets, online sales with QR code ticket for tour productions). The X Point Halle itself does not provide a central box office, but the organizers set up their cash points or scan zones on site. Tip for fans: In case of postponements (for example, Harry G), the ticket usually remains valid – exact information is provided in the ticket confirmation. For tour acts with growing demand, additional seating contingents may be released or additional dates in the region announced during the course; therefore, check the status again before traveling.

Access and Parking at Messepark Kohlbruck

The X Point Halle is part of the Messepark Kohlbruck in the south of Passau. For arrival by car, the A3 (exit Passau-South) is recommended; from there, follow the signs towards “Messepark Kohlbruck/Dreiländerhalle.” Accessibility is one of the major location advantages: The Messepark is conveniently located, the area is clearly developed, and it has its own parking guidance system in the city. Directly at the site is the Messeparkhaus Kohlbruck with around 700 parking spaces. It is open 24 hours a day, and the maximum entrance height is 2.05 m. The short-term parking prices are user-friendly (1.00 € in the first hour, each additional hour 1.50 €, daily maximum rate 18 €). There are E-charging stations on the ground floor and designated disabled parking spaces; payment is possible on site. Additionally, a large number of other parking spaces are available in the vicinity of the Messepark – the city mentions around 2,500 parking options in close proximity, which pays off during trade fairs and large events.

Getting there by bus and train is also uncomplicated. From the city center (ZOB/Old Town), city bus lines such as 8 and 9 go to the stop “Passau, Kohlbruck/Erlebnisbad”; from there, it is only a few minutes' walk to the X Point Halle. The lines operate on weekdays at short to medium intervals and serve the Messepark all day; on weekends or in the evenings, the intervals are larger. For fine planning, live information from the city works Passau (timetable apps) or mobility services with real-time data are recommended. At outdoor events with start/finish at the exhibition area – such as the INNRUN on June 28, 2025 – there may be temporary road closures on the Messe street, while the line traffic usually runs continuously. On site, signage provides for detours and visitor guidance. Those arriving on foot can orient themselves at the Erlebnisbad (peb) or the ice arena – the X Point Halle is in the immediate vicinity. The Messepark offers sufficient open spaces for bicycles; for large events, a bicycle lock and early arrival are recommended.

Capacity, Hall Plan, and Technology: What Makes the Hall Special

The X Point Halle is ideal for smaller to medium-sized events and concerts. Officially, up to 1,200 standing places or about 800 seating places are possible – depending on the seating arrangement and stage setup. A hall or room plan can be accessed via the tourism page of the city of Passau in the area “Events in Messepark Kohlbruck”; there, organizers can also find contract documents, house rules, and price lists. The hall has its own catering area, allowing both self-catering by the organizer and external partner solutions. Stage, lighting, and sound equipment can be rented; this allows for a professional production level for tour shows, business events, markets, or sports formats. Barrier-free access and barrier-free restrooms are part of the basic equipment; public disabled parking spaces are designated in the immediate vicinity. This basis ensures that even audiences with mobility restrictions can safely reach and enjoy the events.

For visitors, the clear hall structure means: easy orientation, short distances, and good sightlines. Depending on the type of event, the “best seats” vary: For comedy programs or readings, front middle blocks with a direct line of sight to the stage are popular; for standing concerts, a place slightly to the side of the FOH position (sound engineering) is recommended to hear mixes and vocals evenly without getting into the densest crowd. For family events or markets, edge areas near exits are suitable for taking a breather and reorienting. Those needing a specific hall plan (e.g., for numbered seats) can usually find the occupied seating arrangement in the ticket portal of the organizer. In markets and trade fairs, hall areas are flexibly partitioned; the X Point Halle is documented with approximately 1,250 m² of hall space and offers enough room for aisles, stands, and action zones. In conjunction with the exhibition area in front of the hall, indoor-outdoor combinations are possible, such as start/finish routes, food trucks, or chill-out areas that contribute to the quality of stay in good weather.

Rental for Organizers: Short Distances, Clear Conditions

The X Point Halle is operated by the city of Passau as part of the Messepark Kohlbruck. Contact details published in the city’s tourism sector are available for inquiries (phone +49 851 396 550; email veranstaltungen@passau.de). In addition to general information about the hall, contract documents such as price lists (including 2025–2026 or 2027–2028), house rules, and additional rental items/services are linked there. The hall is suitable for concerts, comedy, exhibitions, markets, sports shows, corporate events, larger conferences, or graduation parties. The existing catering area allows for various catering concepts from beverage sales to full-service gastronomy. Technology (stage, lighting, sound) can be booked modularly, depending on the production scope. Thanks to the parking capacities at the Messepark and the public transport connections, visitor flows can be planned; suitable access routes are available for trucks/delivery traffic, with setup times and routes arranged in consultation with the hall coordination.

For communication, a dual strategy is recommended: listing on common event portals (with a clear venue designation “X Point Halle, Messestraße 12, 94036 Passau”) and integrating a ticket widget with live contingents. For markets, a clear visitor guidance with cash points at the entrances and prominent signage for food and sanitary areas has proven effective. For tour productions with fixed entry and start times, the schedule should be included in the pre-event emails down to the last mile (parking instructions, stop, route guidance). An additional note on cash may be useful if the day ticket or individual vendor stalls do not consistently offer card payment. For safety and emergency routes, the standards set in the house rules apply; the hall plan and seating variants are the basis for coordination with the authorities.

Special Features and History: From Barracks Sports to Event Address

The X Point Halle has a special location biography: The building was originally part of the Ritter-von-Scheuring barracks in Passau-Kohlbruck and was used by the Bundeswehr as a gym and sports hall. After the site was abandoned in 1993, the city of Passau acquired the area in 1994 and developed the Messepark Kohlbruck in the following years – with Dreiländerhalle, ice arena, swimming pool, parking garage, conference center, and the X Point Halle as a flexibly usable indoor space. With around 1,250 m² of hall size, it is a compact, versatile multipurpose hall that was increasingly established as a venue for concerts, shows, and markets in the 2000s and 2010s. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the X Point Halle took on an important public role as a municipal vaccination center. Reports document the operation with special opening hours, vaccine offerings (including mRNA/Novavax), and organizational notes – an example of how flexibly the infrastructure can be used for the urban community. This public commitment underscores the good accessibility, existing sanitary facilities, parking space, and the functional development of the hall.

With the resumption of regular event operations, the hall has once again proven to be a versatile stage. The combination of indoor hall and large exhibition area enables event formats that seamlessly switch between indoors and outdoors: sports and team events start in front of the hall, markets use the area for food trucks, shows benefit from short distances between backstage, stage, and visitor area. At the same time, the Messepark leverages its location advantages: proximity to the highway facilitates tour logistics, the stop “Kohlbruck/Erlebnisbad” connects local transport, and the parking garage offers E-charging points. By clearly positioning itself as a “smaller to medium-sized” hall, an ecosystem is created that appeals to regional organizers as well as international tour productions looking to reach new audiences in southern Bavaria. Thus, the X Point Halle is now a place where both original markets and conventions as well as energetic live evenings can be experienced – always with the pragmatic added value that arrival, entry, and stay remain pleasantly short and intuitive.

We went to this show with high expectations. However, we were quickly taught otherwise. We encountered families complaining in line. Still, we wanted to form our own impression. At the ticket counter, we were down 25 €. Two adults and a child. Well, we thought. Once we got in, we were immediately in front of the dinosaur rides (extra cost of €2.50 for 2 minutes of fun) and the big stand selling popcorn and toys. TOY STAND: The prices for the toys were completely outrageous. Cheap dinos!!! The big one cost a good 20 euros and the cheap dino sets were 9 €.... Stable, well... Schleich is cheaper and much sturdier. CapriSun costs a whole euro there -_- (Completely unjustified) Luckily, my kid only wanted a pack of popcorn (2.50€) ABOUT THE SHOW: The size of the hall was relatively small. There were about 15 moving dinosaurs. With the little one, we were through in 10 minutes (despite efforts to read the signs)... Also, a T-Rex made its rounds once an hour for 5 minutes. Take photos and touch briefly. One employee had a small hand dino, and you could take a memory photo with it. Otherwise, the bouncy castle was way too small for this turnout. DINOSAUR RIDES: We stood in line the longest there. You had to buy a chip at the toy stand (if you don't know this, you read it just before you need it on the sign)... While the kids were sitting on the dinosaurs (buckled in), the employee went off to film the running dino.... I didn't find that great as a parent. Otherwise, it was just about 2 minutes of riding on the dinosaurs. CONCLUSION: Price is outrageous for half an hour of fun!!! Few activities or suggestions.... Toys were cheap and overpriced... Not recommended!!!!!!!! We won't go there again, but will invest double the price for a family ticket at the dinosaur park in Altmühltal. The little man got his money's worth :)

Event hall at the Kohlbruck trade fair site. Used to be a gym in the Bundeswehr barracks. Currently being used as a vaccination center against Corona for the city of Passau. Many concerts and events took place here before Corona, like the Starkbierfeste of the Innstadt Brewery.

Concert visit Olaf Schubert June 2023. Positives about the location of the hall: very good transport connections, plenty of nearby and free parking. The very friendly staff and service personnel were also a plus. The hall as a concert venue is just a plain hall. Acoustics are somewhat okay, seating is okay, sightlines to the stage are rather poor, no screens. What was absolutely unbearable was the lack of air conditioning. You just sit there fanning yourself and sweating, longing for the break. It's a shame for the very good program of the artist, but we won't be buying tickets for further concert events at the X-Point Hall.
